Baby Card in a Box

Last weekend I went to a craft camp at Kiah Ridge…

in between the EATING, LAUGHING and chatting  I actually did some creating !!!!!!

I love making these “Card in a Box” and decided to use the stamp set Zoo Babies for this one.

a LOT of hand cutting, but I do find that relaxing 🙂

I absolutely love the stars in the Irresistibly Yours DSP that is available FREE with any $90 order during Sale-a-Bration

There are some amazing designs in this pack of DSP and it is already clear embossed for you !!!! all you need do is sponge some colours onto the paper and you create the colour DSP to suit your projects!!!! I have used Soft Sky & Pear Pizzazz inks to colour mine…

Monochromatic Page

Hello to all my Blogging buddies 🙂 thought I would share a layout I did at a Craft Retreat I went to last weekend with my Niece Jady & lots of other nice ladies 🙂   I have been asked to do a Begginers Scrapbooking Class once a month for a group of ladies so thought I had best get organised & have a few layouts they can look at so they know what they need to bring…. the layout below is a “Monochromatic” layout meaning you only use shades of one colour on the page, due to the BLUE tones of the photo I thought this was a great photo to use for this page. I have use a layout from the Catalogue page 66 BUT it looks very different because it is Monochromatic.. I have used as my background page the word paper from the Soft Subtles paper stack, page 127. & the reverse of this paper for the scallop border. I  inked the border in Not Quiet Navy ink& spritzed the Not quiet Navy Cardstock with not quiet navy  Marker. I also stamped the florish from the Sale-a-Bration Set Bliss in not quiet Navy, added a piece of Marina Mist Ribbon & a tag cut on the big shot & TADA page finished yayaya

I do love this layout .. simple BUT it lets the photo be the main focal point AND this is what we want 🙂

thanks for dropping by & I will pop back tomorrow with more layouts for you x

Sketch Challenge

Hello again :)..  I had the honour of spending this weekend  with some wonderful friends , Andrea, Jenny Tracey & Erin, came to spend the weekend & “play” at my home. I have to say I haven’t laughed or sang or danced like this in a long long time & i want to say a BIG THANK YOU to my buddies … we each had to do a Make & Take to share & we also did some sketch challenges…. I know, I know, those of you who know me well are saying …..WHAT !!!!! she (me ) really does not like sketch challenges! BUT all that has changed as of this last weekend yayayaya LOOK AT MY CARD !! I did this ALL BY MYSELF!!!! 🙂  This is MY effort for our first sketch challenge yayayayay AND in case you had not noticed I LOVE IT!!!!!!!… I used : Early Espresso ,Very Vanilla & Soft Suede card stock from the Neutrals selection (all matched for you .. easy as ) I used the Textured Embossing folder Vintage Wallpaper & the Big Shot  for the front of the card & the stamp is from the set Welcome Christmas Stamp set on page 26 of the current Stampin’ Up! Catalogue.this was stamped in Soft Suede ink. LOOK AT THE RIBBON!!! isn’t it just the most beautiful Ribbon!!! this is available from Stampin’ Up! and is on page 137 of the catalogue, I also used one of our new Antique Brads page 139.  I will be teaching this card in one of my classes . so if you would like to join in & make one with us , just drop me an email ,or leave me a comment & I will get back too you …..I have a few cards to show you (we made 8 different cards!!!!) Hello again:) Today I wanted to show you a few cards the ladies in my Friday class are making. they wanted simple but pretty cards & this is what I came up with.. I wanted to highlight how you can use one stamp set to make many different cards & with these cards I used The Stamp set “Garden Whimsy” from STAMPIN’ UP! page 78 in the New Catalogue retails for $45.95 & you get a set of 8 stamps. great value set!

i have also added a couple of different stamps, the white & red card used the flourish from stamp set PRICELESS & I also used the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine & Embossing Folder Perfect Polka Dots.

Another card I have in the slideshow I saw on ESAD (special forum for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators) this card I “cased” from another Demonstrator but for the life of me I can’t remember who …. so if you see this & it is your card PLEASE let me know & i will give you credit 🙂

In our friday class we are making 3 cards for $10 this is a great value class, so if you are interested in joining in for 1 or all of the classes just let me know by email aussienvy@optusnet.com.au  or mobile 0414262598

well, I must away & unpack from this mornings class, Have a wonderful weekend, Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Leonie 🙂
